Roman Republic as an perfect mixed politycal system and the idea of republic in polish political thought in the sixteenth century.

This paper presents the Roman republic as an example of a model state with a mixed system. The first chapter provides an overview of the history of ancient Rome, the rise of the Roman republic and the constitution of the state. We will also look like the decline of the Roman republic, the time of the crisis and how it came to her downfall. In the second chapter were presented ideas of ancient thinkers on a mixed system: Aristole, Polybius and Cicero. In the last chapter we read about Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth as an example of a system of mixed state and the views of three thinkers on this system. Namely, the views of Lawrence Grzymala Goślickiego, Andrew Frycz Modrzewski and Stanislaw Orzechowski. In this work the main attention was paid to the political and social thought on the example of philosophers during the existence of the Roman Republic and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth.Niniejsza praca przedstawia republikę rzymską jako przykład modelu państwa o ustroju mieszanym. Pierwszy rozdział przedstawia zarys historii Starożytnego Rzymu, powstanie republiki rzymskiej oraz ustrój państwa. Dowiemy się również jak wyglądał schyłek republiki rzymskiej, czas kryzysu i jak doszło do jej upadku. W drugim rozdziale przybliżone zostały poglądy starożytnych myślicieli na temat ustroju mieszanego: Arystotelesa, Polibiusza i Cycerona.W ostatnim rozdziale przeczytamy o Rzeczpospolitej Obojga Narodów jako przykładzie państwa o ustroju mieszanym oraz poglądach trzech myślicieli dotyczących tego ustroju. Mianowicie poglądy Wawrzyńca Grzymały Goślickiego, Andrzeja Frycza Modrzewskiego oraz Stanisława Orzechowskiego.W pracy główną zaś uwagę poświęcono myśli ustrojowej i społecznej na przykładzie ludzi uczonych w okresie Republiki Rzymskiej i Rzeczypospolitej Obojga Narodów
