Post-crisis economic policy in USA (case study of the New Deal and current reforms 2008 -2011)

Over the years, the White House has not remained indifferent to the economic meltdown, conducting post-crisis policies, aimed at removing the economy from stagnation. Franklin Delano Roosevelt during his presidency announced a plan of reforms called the New Deal. From 2009, Barack Obama started to implement a new series of reforms.The first explains the causes of instability in financial markets and the financial crisis according to the model of Hyman Minsky. It also presents other theories of the crisis, elaborates the notion of government interventionism. As well, shows the reasons for the crisis of the 1930's and the XXI century.Post-crisis policy in the U.S based on the example of New Deal and the contemporary reform was discussed in the second chapter. The main discussions are the financial market, economic and social reforms, results of the investigation done by committee appointed to point out causes of crises, responses to the economic collapse of the group G20 and G7.The final chapter deals with the second economic collapse in late 1937 to 1938 and in August 2011. Also discussed are the two hybrid institutions: Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, as the modern heritage of New Deal. The last two sections, present the assessments of post-crisis programs in the 1930's and the twenty-first century, available in books and articles.Na przestrzeni lat Biały Dom nie pozostawał obojętny wobec załamań gospodarczych. Prowadził pokryzysową politykę, której celem było wyprowadzenie gospodarki z zastoju. Franklin Delano Roosevelt podczas swojej prezydentury ogłosił plan reform – Nowy Ład. Barack Obama od 2009 roku wprowadza w życie pakiety ratunkowe.W pierwszym rozdziale pracy wyjaśnione zostały przyczyny niestabilności rynków finansowych oraz model kryzysu finansowego wg Hymana Minsky’ego. Omówione zostały również inne teorie kryzysu i pojęcie interwencjonizmu państwowego. Wskazane zostały też przyczyny powstania kryzysu lat 30tych XX wieku i początku XXI wieku. Polityka pokryzysowa w USA na przykładzie Nowego Ładu i współczesnych reform została przedstawiona w drugim rozdziale. Omówione zostały ustawy rynku finansowego, gospodarcze i społeczne, wyniki badań komisji powołanych do życia w celu wskazania przyczyn kryzysów, reakcje na załamanie gospodarcze grupy G20i G7.Ostatni rozdział opisuje przyczyny pojawienia się kolejnego załamania na przełomie 1937/38 roku i w sierpniu 2011 roku. Omówione zostały również dwie hybrydowe instytucje: Freddie Mac i Fannie Mae, jako współczesne dziedzictwo New Dealu. Ostatnie podrozdziały poświęcone są ocenom programów pokryzysowych lat 30tych XX i z początków XXI wieku, dostępnym w publikacjach książkowych i artykułach
