Theodoric Amal during the stay in the Balkans

The subject of this work is life of Theodoric Amal during the stay in the Balkans (473 - 489). In the first chapters was presented period before the birth of Theodoric, when his father Tiudimer and uncle Walamer fought for liberation from the domination of the Huns, ruled by the sons of Attila. They also discussed the arrival of the Goths to Pannonia.This work tries to answer the question, where Theodoric Amal, who was born in a barbaric world, acquired skills allow him to become later ruler of Italy, so that his actions led to the agreement of the Romans and barbarians. Important is also the answer to the question of whether Amal possessed literacy.Another important issue is the matter of rivalry Theodoric Amal with Theodoric son of Triarius for supremacy over all the Goths and the recognition of the emperor and the offices in the Byzantine armies. Omówiono również przybycie Gotów do Panonii. Praca stara się odpowiedzieć na pytanie gdzie Teodoryk Amal urodzony przecież w barbarzyńskim świecie nabył umiejętności pozwalające mu stać się potem władcą Italii, który swoim postępowaniem doprowadził do porozumienia Rzymian i barbarzyńców. Ważna jest też odpowiedź na pytanie, czy Amal posiadł umiejętność pisania i czytania.Kolejną ważną kwestią jest sprawa rywalizacji Teodoryka Amala z Teodorykiem synem Triariusa o władzę nad wszystkimi Gotami oraz o uznanie cesarza i urzędy w armii bizantyńskiej.
