In this paper raised the question of the Black Sea Fleet in Crimea as a tool to pressure Russia to Ukraine. Black Sea Fleet came under the control of the Ukraine in October 1991. It turned out that it will bring more losses and problems than benefits. In fact, there was no actual need for a navy of such size, nor the funds for its upkeep.
