The aim of the experiment was to develop an efficient and rapid method of Rumex tianschanicus x Rumex patientia in vitro regeneration by selection of explants (type and age) and medium composition. Fragments of hypocotyls (ap. 5 mm) and cotyledons of 7, 10, and 12-day-old seedlings were used as explants. Culture media (MS) supplied with different types of auxin (2,4-D, IAA, dicamba, IBA) and/or cytokinins (TDZ, kinetin, BAP) were tested.
