Mourning as experienced by the dying and their close friends and family

The given thesis presents the experience of mourning from different perspectives. The aim of it is to understand orphanned people and to get to know one's own emotions connected with accompanying the dying people and their relatives. The thesis constitutes of three chapters.The first one explains basic notions concerning death, dying and mourning. The second chapter is focused on the mourning from the perspective of the dying and their closed ones. The third touches upon the mourning of the orphanned. The intrinsic part of the thesis is its introduction, ending and conclusions. Descriptions presented in the thesis enable better understanding of terminally ill patients and people accompanying them. The experience of mourning is individual for each human being, hence the help during this period shoud be adapted to the needs of given person or the whole family.W przedstawionej pracy opisano przeżywanie żałoby z kilku perspektyw.Dokonano go w oparciu o przekaz literacki. Celem pracy jest chęć zrozumienia ludzi osieroconych oraz próba poznania własnych emocji związanych z towarzyszeniem osobom umierającym i ich bliskim. Praca składa się z trzech rozdziałów. W pierwszym zostały wyjaśnione podstawowe pojęcia dotyczące śmierci, umierania oraz żałoby. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest żałobie z perspektywy osób umierających oraz towarzyszących imbliskim. Trzeci to przedstawienie żałoby osób osieroconych. Integralną częścią pracy jest wstęp oraz zakończenie i wnioski. Opisy zawarte w pracy pozwalają na lepsze zrozumienie osób znajdujących się w terminalnym stadium choroby oraz towarzyszących im osób.Przeżywanie żałoby dla każdego człowieka jest indywidualne, dlatego pomoc w okresie żałoby powinna być dostosowana do potrzeb danej osoby lub całej rodziny
