Polycystic ovary syndrome is a frequent endocrinopathy which is affecting 6-10% of woman of reproductive age. The PCOS is characterized by an hyperandrogenism, ovulation disorders and frequent infertility. The treatment of this disease is long-lasting and often does not achieve the desired effect. PCOS is connected with higher than in general population risk of metabolic syndrome manifestation, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disorders and endometrial galndular carcinoma.
