Kitesurfing as a sport for the future development of qualified tourism in the region of the Czorsztyn reservoir

The subject of the thesis for Bachelor’s degree is: „Kitesurfing as a sport for the future development of qualified tourism in the region of the Czorsztyn reservoir. The main purpose of my work is to examine and assess the development possibilities of kitesurfing in the region of the Czorsztyn reservoir and its impact on qualified tourism in this place. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first two parts are theoretical. They include the following things: terms and characteristic of qualified tourism, kitesurfing as a form of sport tourism, characteristic of the Czorsztyn reservoir and its infrastructure in this region. The third chapter is a research part including a questionnaire and the comparative analysis. The data gathered in the questionnaire have been the basis to conclusions, evaluation and recommendation. On the basis of the research we find out that kitesurfing has only small chances to become the main form of qualified tourism in the region. However, after taking appropriate actions, kitesurfing with the other forms of tourism might contribute to development of this region as well as to the growth of its attractiveness.Praca licencjacka „Kitesurfing jako przyszłość rozwoju turystyki kwalifikowanej nad Zalewem Czorsztyńskim” miała na celu zbadanie i ocenę możliwości rozwoju kitesurfingu nad Zbiornikiem Czorsztyńskim oraz jego wpływu na rozwój turystyki kwalifikowanej w tym regionie. Praca została podzielona na trzy rozdziały z których pierwsze dwa stanowią część teoretyczną. Przedstawiono w nich kolejno takie aspekty jak: definicje i charakterystyka turystyki kwalifikowanej, kitesurfing jako jedna z form turystyki usportowionej, charakterystyka Zbiornika Czorsztyńskiego oraz infrastruktury w jego regionie. Trzeci rozdział stanowił część badawczą, w którym przeprowadzono ankietę oraz analiza porównawczą. Uzyskane dane były podstawą wniosków, oceny i rekomendacji. Wynika z nich jasno, że kitesurfing ma niewielkie szanse, aby stać się kluczową formą turystyki kwalifikowanej na omawianym akwenie. Po podjęciu odpowiednich działań może jednak przyczynić się wraz z innymi formami turystyki kwalifikowanej do rozwoju tego regionu i zwiększenia jego atrakcyjności
