Management of rural school, the importance and functions in the local environment. A case study.

The object of this study was to investigate the development and training opportunities for residents of rural areas depending on where they live. Comparison subjects were students and adult residents of the municipality in which the school functions, and those localities in which the school is not present. The study area consisted of students and their educational achievement, availability of education and participation in culture. In the research it was used analysis of primary and secondary sources, the questionnaire survey and interview questionnaire. It was adopted two hypotheses. One has been fully confirmed, and the other one has been partially confirmed. The results show the relationship between place of residence of students and their school results, the declared objectives and plans for education, the ability to participate in extracurricular activities and access to cultural events. In the second hypothesis one area is confirmed: the declared willingness to learn depends on the presence of a school in the inhabited environment.For this work it was used the literature related to the management and education, law and regulations, statistical reports, and articles related to education in rural areas.Przedmiotem niniejszej pracy było zbadanie rozwoju i możliwości kształcenia mieszkańców rejonów wiejskich w zależności od miejsca ich zamieszkania. Porównaniu poddani zostali uczniowie i dorośli mieszkańcy z miejscowości w których funkcjonuje szkoła oraz tych miejscowości, w których szkoły nie ma. Badany obszar obejmował uczniów i ich osiągnięcia edukacyjne, dostępność kształcenia oraz uczestnictwo w kulturze. Do badań wykorzystano analizę źródeł pierwotnych oraz wtórnych, kwestionariusz ankiety i kwestionariusz wywiadu. Przyjęto dwie hipotezy. Jedna została potwierdzona w pełni, jedna częściowo. Wyniki badań pokazują zależność między miejscem zamieszkania uczniów, a ich wynikami w nauce, deklarowanymi celami i planami edukacyjnymi, możliwością uczestnictwa w zajęciach pozalekcyjnych oraz dostępie do wydarzeń kulturalnych. W zakresie drugiej hipotezy potwierdzony został jeden obszar: deklarowana chęć podjęcia nauki jest zależna od obecności szkoły w zamieszkiwanym środowisku. Do pracy wykorzystano literaturę związaną z zarządzaniem i oświatą, ustawy, raporty statystyczne oraz artykuły związane ze szkolnictwem na wsi
