Waterbirth - delivery in the natural way.

The work is of representative-research nature. The work shows the analysis of the transformation process, which occurred in the field of medicine, thanks to which holistic model in midwifery was developed, based on comprehensive insights on the birth. The work shows the activities of the “Give Birth like a Human” Foundation, which actively contributes to increasing public awareness on the themes of motherhood, teaches women how to naturally and actively deliver a child and caries out different types of social actions to raise awareness of women regarding their rights during pregnancy and during delivery.The work shows themes related to the parturition in the water, as an alternative form of delivery, using water as the environment to carry out the delivery action, its historical context, process, benefits for the mother and child, qualification for childbirth, the conditions for the safe conduct of delivery, possible contra-indications and the role of the midwife at the birth. The work presents an analysis of the survey, the purpose of which was to explore the subjective opinions of women, who took birth in the water, about such a way of delivery. As a result of the research the work attempts to answer questions about the reasons of women, underlying the decision about the form of childbirth, the sources of knowledge about birth in water, benefits for the delivering mothers and the child and the experience and level of satisfaction of women delivering in the water.Praca ma charakter poglądowo-badawczy. Przeprowadzono analizę procesu przemian, jaki nastąpił w dziedzinie medycyny, dzięki którym został wypracowany holistyczny model w położnictwie, wywodzący się z całościowego spojrzenia na narodziny. Przedstawiono działalność Fundacji Rodzić po Ludzku, która aktywnie przyczynia się do zwiększenia świadomości społecznej dotyczącej tematyki macierzyństwa, uczy kobiety jak naturalnie i aktywnie wydać na świat swoje potomstwo oraz prowadzi różnego rodzaju akcje społeczne mające na celu uświadamianie kobiet w kwestii przysługujących im praw w ciąży i w trakcie porodu. Przedstawiono również poród w wodzie, jako alternatywną formę porodu, wykorzystującą wodę jako środowisko narodzin, jego historyczne uwarunkowania, przebieg, korzyści dla matki i dziecka, kwalifikacja do porodu, warunki bezpiecznego przeprowadzenia porodu, ewentualne przeciwwskazania oraz rolę położnej przy porodzie.Przedstawione wyniki badań, oparte na subiektywnej ocenie rodzących, potwierdzają atrakcyjność i bezpieczeństwo porodu w wodzie
