This study deals with the mid-latitude atmospheric dynamics especially the jet stream in the climate change context. Two major processes are expected in this context : an upper-tropospheric warming in the tropics and a lower-tropospheric warming at the pole. The jet stream being driven by the equator-to-pole temperature gradient, it is important to investigate how these changes can affect it. The aim of this study is (i) to assess recent and/or future trends in the jet stream trajectory trends and (ii) to determinate if such potential trends are due to climate change.
