Introduction: Many French studies have highlighted the fact that patients who reach the end of their lives frequently require the services of emergency departments (ED). As a result, emergency physicians often have to make the decision to withdraw or withhold life-sustaining treatment (WWLST). It is not uncommon that those patients die as they are being processed by the walk-in service.
