Autism spectrum disorders without intellectual disability (ASD-WID ; Asperger syndrome and high functioning autism) may favorably improve in adulthood but have often heavy functional consequences: low access to university and employment, persistent dependence on environment, social isolation. Psychiatric comorbidites affect the evolution and functioning. This literature review aims to investigate the clinical and functional outcome in adulthood with its predictors and then the main comorbidities and the further needs of support.
