The question of which language to use for the teaching-learnoig of a foreign language has foud different answers in the history of didactics, and is still the subject of hesitation for many teachers who are wondering if they can use the mother tongue of their learners, when and how they can, but also if other languages can benefit their teaching. Besides, the language biography of speakers has influence on their speach and in particular the choice of the language used.
