This research focuses on adult learners' attitudes toward errors in the French classroom according to different learners profiles. The data analysis shows that particular aspects of the adult learner such as the affective filter or biological reasons can infuence their attitude towards error. Indeed, a lack of confidence which is part of a strong affective filter will emphasise reluctance to speak in the classroom. Error may also be a source of frustration for adult learners as it can reflect a decrease in their cognitive capacity due to aging. Besides, the study confirms the hypothesis that analytic, shy and perfectionist learners' profiles will be more sensitive to the idea of making errors than synthetic, extrovert and realistic learners...
