A finite element modeling tool has been developed. It simulates the general behavior of electromagnetic induction launchers.Magnetic phenomena are calculated by a 2D axisymmetric formulation in vector potential A. We use a transient resolution to model the launcher from its initial state to its final state. The modeling of the displacement of the projectile within the launcher is carried out by a coupling with the general equation of mechanics. Three methods of taking movement into account are successively used.We then present two methods which make it possible to take into account the different connections between the conductive regions modeled in the finite element domain and their supply circuits.
