Développement d'une technique d'analyse d'images pour la caractérisation du transport solide par charriage

We are trying to improve methods that are currently available to calculate the quantity of sediments that is carried by a torrent, based on some physical modelling at a reduced scale. It may be possible to realise it through the ability to measure characteristics of sediments, which pass through the canal. We present a system, which is based on imaging techniques and is aimed at determining the granulometry and the discharge of the carried solids.Le transport solide dans les cours d'eau est connu à une échelle qui ne suffit pas toujours à évaluer et prévenir les risques. Sur la base de modélisations physiques à échelle réduite, nous cherchons à améliorer les formules actuellement disponibles pour calculer la quantité de sédiments charriés par un torrent. La réalisation de notre objectif passe par la capacité à mesurer les caractéristiques du matériau qui transite dans le canal.
