International audienceThis article presents a review of the applications in geosciences of digital elevation model (DEM) time series from satellite stereoscopic imagery for the observation of geometric changes at the Earth's surface. This method dates back to the beginning of the 2000's as a consequence of the multiplication of imaging satellites. We present the evolution of the data availability from the birth of the method for military purpose to its propagation in the civilian sphere. The various methods used for analysing series of digital elevation models are presented, as well as their applications in glaciology, hydrology, volcanology, seismology and geomorphology.
