This dissertation is a collection of five supportive essays on the topic of climate finance. By combining qualitative and quantitative methods, it provides policymakers and investors with new insights for rethinking their decision making in a time of a changing climate. While climate finance remains critical to addressing climate change, the results of these essays show that it can also be an effective driver of sustainable structural transformation in developing countries, provided it is allocated productively. Furthermore, climate risks would have significant yet differentiated impacts on financial stability.
