The demand for new technologies of energy conversion is dramatically increasing that can offer increased life to the micro-systems and also ensures their energy autonomy without any human intervention. By exploiting nanotechnologies, the present thesis focuses on the development of new generation of flexible and robust piezoelectric mechanical energy harvesters, from piezoelectric materials. Both experiment and theoretical simulation studies are performed to improve the performance of PiezoElectric NanoGenerators (PENGs).
