This thesis presents the problem of adapting pulse modulator theory to industrial controls. The class of modulators known as Combined Pulse Modulators (CPM) is presented. Theory is developed for analysis of three types of CPM\u27s with a stability criteria demonstrated for a type which can be reduced to a recursion relation. Limitations and implementation of these modulators are also discussed in an effort to demonstrate the applicability to industrial controls
