Eosinophil Counts in Women: Epidemiologic Data

Data are presented on circulating eosinophil counts in 1287 peri-adolescent and adult women identified through area and cluster probability sampling methods. The evidence shows only slight age-related trends, the eosinophil counts being somewhat lower in older groups. The association of the circulating eosinophil to body mass or to height when controlling for age effects could be characterized as one in which no single linear relationship over body mass or height quintiles could be noted
