Since 2006, Arhopalus rusticus (Coleoptera: Cerambycidae) has expanded its range in the pine production area of Córdoba Province (Argentina). In this paper, we analyse the effect of landscape pattern on the distribution and abundance of A. rusticus. Land cover was estimated using Landsat 8 scenes. Landscape was quantified by estimating the Total Class Area, which showed a positive relationship with A. rusticus abundance, and Mean Euclidean distance and Mean Shape index, which had a negative relationship. Since its arrival, Arhopalus rusticus has proved to be a successful invader, affected by the landscape pattern of the patches.Fil: Grilli, Mariano Pablo.
