Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women and represents a major issue in public health. The most frequent methods to treat these tumors are surgery and/or chemotherapy. The latter can exert not only beneficial effects by reducing tumor growth and metastasis, but also toxic actions on normal tissues.
