We report here the first observation by the NA48/2 experiment of the rare decay K± → π±π0e+e-. From a sample of about 2000 decay candidates collected in 2003, a preliminary value of the branching ratio in the full kinematic space has been obtained as (4.06 ± 0.17) · 10-6
