Employee motivation could be defined as a drive that forces employees to work hard in an organization. Motivation comes from a Latin word, "movere," which literally means "movement". Every individual is motivated in one way or another; two types of employee motivation are intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. This paper analyzes the relationship between employee motivation and how it affects an organization's performance through literature review and questionnaire.
