In this quick tutorial Dr. Bruce Denardo of the Physics department at the Naval Postgraduate School demonstrates a very simple looking coupled oscillator system. This coupled oscillator system consists of two pendulums that share the same symmetric characteristic. You'll see that both pendulums are coupled in the center. Due to symmetry and how they are coupled, you'll see that one pendulum can drive the other, and vice versa
