MBA Professional ProjectStudent Thesis (NPS NRP Project Related)The current enlisted detailing process is completely centralized, requiring a time-intensive system to negotiate and match Sailor preferences to job gaps. The process is managed by Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS) detailers through coordination with placement officers, command representatives, and the individual Sailors seeking available billets. Individual Sailor records are also maintained at BUPERS, using multiple databases. This report researches the use of blockchain technology to provide a decentralized marketplace to streamline the process while still protecting sensitive data.
