This study investigates the use of sample texts in Norwegian at upper primary and lower secondary school. Sample texts are all texts that are being used in the classroom. The study is built on two different surveys, one qualitative and one quantitative. The qualitative material is based on the answers three informants gave during individual interviews; the quantitative material is based on the answers 100 informants gave in a digital survey. The questions asked in the surveys are almost identical, the qualitative survey is of course more comprehensive than the quantitative one. The surveys show a large variety of texts.
