Hubungan Antara Dukungan Sosial dengan Kepatuhan Minum Obat pada Penderita Tuberkulosis Paru di Puskesmas Dinoyo

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious infectious disease caused by bacteria called Mycobacterium Tuberculosis. If this disease is not treated immediately or the treatment is not complete, it will cause dangerous effects or complications that can lead to death. Therefore, adherence is required by drug users as an important factor in the healing process. One of the factors that can influence a person to comply with medication is social support, either from family, friends or other sources. Objective: To determine whether there is a relationship between social support and adherence to taking medication on patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Methods: The method used in this study was an analytic observational study with a cross sectional design. This research was conducted in the working area of ​​the Dinoyo Public Health Center involving 35 respondents who were drawn by purposive sampling technique. Results: The results of the social support of respondents at Dinoyo Public Health Center were 35 people (100%) had high social support, while the results of medication adherence were 27 people (77.1%) had high adherence and 8 people (22.9%) had adherence low.
