IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER MELALUI KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER SENI BUDAYA TARI REOG KENDANG KHAS TULUNGAGUNG DI SD NEGERI 1 GANDONG

The decreasing of nationalism and characters phenomenon indicated by the decreasing level of arts preservation in several regions. Education is the one of the place to improving nation character, by the art dance Reog Kendang extracurricular held in SD Negeri 1 Gandong, in that activity its can be planted the character education such as Religious, Nationalist ,integrity , mutual assistance and independent characters. The objectives of the research are: (1) to know how the implementation of character education through dance art culture extracurricular Reog Kendang from Tulungagung. 2. To know the supporting and obstructing factors in implementation of character education through dance art culture extracurricular Reog Kendang from Tulungagung. This research is used qualitative descriptive to describe the data result from the research field. The data source gathering is used observation method and interview with reog kendang trainer and students. The research held from 06 june-20 june 2021. The result of the research shown (1) the result from implementing character education through dance art culture extracurricular Reog Kendang from Tulungagung not only as extracurricular activity but also can be inserted with character education morals to developing students’ characters such as Religious, Nationalist ,integrity , mutual assistance and independent characters. (2) The reog kendang SD Negeri 1 Gondang team often join the regency competition or another institute competition, they able to achieve the winner nomination in that competition. The result of this research suggested to (1) the School institution should support the students, in order to increase student motivation in joining and preserving Reog Kendang Dance Culture from Tulungagung. (2) The trainer Reog Kendang Dance Art Culture from Tulungagung, they should always enthusiasm in teaching their students, so the student also motivated to learn, the trainer should always develop the understandable techniques for students. (3) For the next research, will be better to analyze the preserving effort in Reog kendang art dance from Tulungagung
