STRATEGI POLITIK DALAM PEMENANGAN CALON ANGGOTA LEGISLATIF PADA PEMILIHAN UMUM 2019 (STUDI PADA PARTAI DPD NASDEM DAN PPP DPD KAB. KUTAI TIMUR)

Every political party must have an ideal strategy for winning the proposed legislative candidates; there are two political strategies that can be applied that is offensive strategy and defensive strategy. This research was conducted to determine the political strategy of the Nasdem Party and the United Development Party (PPP) in winning the legislative candidates in the 2019 elections of East Kutai Regency. The aim of this research is to be able to observe the two parties winning votes in the 2019 general election. This study used the qualitative methods, and the data collection techniques were observation, interviews, and documentation. The information was obtained from the research subjects, which are from the office of the House of Region (DPD) of Nasdem Party and House of Region of the United Development Party (PPP) of East Kutai Regency. The results show that the Nasdem Party and the United Development Party used a defensive strategy, which is by establishing a successful team, the socialization of new programs, the implementation of the program which corresponds with the voters of the East Kutai District and trainings for the cadres of Nasdem Party and the United Development Party. The defensive strategy is carried out by the Nasdem Party and the United Development Party by offering new programs to the public and strengthening the understanding of the seasonal voters. Research shows that the Nasdem Party strengthened their offensive strategy while on the other hand, the United Development Party (PPP) strengthened their defensive strategy.
