The Ability in Using Preposition Of Place in Writing Descriptive Paragraph Of Students Elementary Encouter 3 at LBPP-LIA

Pd.\ud \ud The research describes the ability in using preposition of place on writing descriptive paragraph of students’ elementary encounter 3 at LBPP-LIA Banjarmasin. The statements of the problems in this research are: the ability in using preposition of place on writing descriptive paragraph of students elementary encounter 3 at LBPP-LIA Banjarmasin and What are the students’ common errors in using preposition of place on writing descriptive paragraph of students elementary encounter 3 at LBPP-LIA Banjarmasin \ud The subject of the research is 21 students at the elementary encounter 3 LBPP-LIA Banjarmasin. The object of this research is the students’ ability in using preposition of place on writing descriptive paragraph and the students’ common errors in using preposition of place on writing descriptive paragraph.\ud To collect data the writer uses some techniques: written test, questionnaire, observation, interview and documentary. Data processing in this research is divided into five phases: editing, classification, scoring, tabulating and data interpretation. Then, all the data are analyzed by using descriptive qualitative and concluded by inductive method.\ud The result of this research indicates that the ability in using preposition of place on writing descriptive paragraph of students’ elementary encounter 3 at LBPP-LIA Banjarmasin is in good category with the percentage (76.2%)\ud The most students’ common errors in using preposition of place on writing descriptive paragraph had found in using preposition “in and on” which 13 students had errors in fill in the blank question and 11 students had errors on writing descriptive paragraph
