Pd, (II) Nani Hizriani, M.A.\ud \ud This research starts from an opinion that in learning process, students may get some troubles. These troubles are the factors which can influence the result of students’ learning so that the result of students’ effort in learning is not maximal. While the factors that influence learning process more are internal factors. One of the internal factors that influence learning process is perception. Therefore, there is a relationship between perception and the result of learning. \ud In this study, researcher limits the problem just for searching students’ perception toward English subject and correlated it with their English learning achievement. Besides, the objective of this research is to find out the correlation between perception and English learning achievement.\ud The type of this research is correlation research. While the approach is quantitative approach with aim to show the correlation among variables, namely the correlation between perception as independent variable and English learning achievement as dependent variable.\ud Then, to obtain needed data, writer used communication technique and documentary technique. In the implementation, communication technique is in the form of indirect communication technique by questionnaire as the data collection tool. This technique is used to find out perception of students toward English subject. On the contrary, to find out English learning achievement, writer used documentary.\ud By using kontingensi coefficient correlation technique, this research delivers that there is no significant positive correlation between perception and English learning achievement
