The use of conjugated polymer in electronics devices is believed to be the driving force for the tremendous R & D activity involving these materials. In this study, electropolymerization of N-methyl pyrrole/carbon nanotubes composites has been performed galvanostatically in ionic liquid medium. A well-ordered polymer composites of poly(methylpyrrole)/carbon nanotubes (pMPy/CNTs) nanostructures has been observed as revealed by atomic force microscopy. The current vs. voltage curves demonstrates an ohmic nature of the synthesized polymers. pMPy/CNT films are found more conductive than the pMPy films.
