BACKGROUND: The gastroepiploic artery is increasingly used as an alternative arterial coronary bypass conduit. In vitro studies have reported differences in vasoreactivity among various types of coronary graft conduits, susceptible to influencing the adaptation of myocardial blood flow and long-term patency rate.
