Abstract This study investigated teachers’ attitude and reading culture of pupils in selected staff primary schools in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The study population consisted of 400 primary four and five pupils and ten staff selected from three staff schools in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria adopting the total enumeration sampling technique. The questionnaire was the main instrument for data collection. It consisted of 42 questions arranged in four sections. Simple percentage, mean, standard deviation and Pearson Product Moment correlation were used to analyse the data. The findings revealed that pupils read story books and text books the most.
