RE-AlPILCs have been prepared by three different methods and the variations in properties with respect to the parent clay studied through various phisicochemical technics. The catalytic activity has been tested in n-heptane, h-isomerization and h-craking in the 200-400-degrees-C interval at atmospheric pressure. Some conclusions on the suitability of the proposed synthesis methods have been drawn
