The application of confocal Raman and FT-Raman in the understanding of zeolite synthesis is a goal that can be reached by studying different levels of complexity. First, the Raman properties of TEOS and its polymerization products under acid conditions is investigated. Structural characterization of zeolite framework vibrations is related to their building blocks such as prisms and sodalite cages.
