This paper presents a formulation based on multipole expansions for the reduction of the method-of-moments (MoM) problem associated with large finite periodic structures when a macro-basis function approach is adopted. The paper shows how the interactions between macro-basis and macro-testing functions can be computed very efficiently with the help of multipole expansions.Anglai
