This paper presents the principles and methods for the integration of natural light and comfort criteria into architectural classroom design. The aim is to create the basis for incorporating these principles in the design of Chilean classrooms, to improve daylighting design in order to minimize glare and achieve more uniform daylighting levels throughout the school year. Firstly, the fundamental principles that directly affect design are defined. Secondly, the evaluation methods and measurements for those principles are described.
