Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) are an energy production technology currently being commercialized. The technology is often seen as base load -producer of heat and electricity in decentralized energy solutions. The aim of this thesis was to create an Excel tool to analyse the performance and profitability of SOFC systems in a variety of different energy solutions. Another aim was to use the tool to analyse the performance of SOFC system in multiple different type of buildings from Southern Finland. In this thesis an Excel VBA model was programmed.
