Cochlear implantation outcome in prelingually deafened children is highly variable. A wide variety of factors that may influence a child’s communication abilities following cochlear implantation have been described. Literature provides contradictory evidence regarding the effect of these factors on post-implant language levels, especially regarding origin of deafness and age at cochlear implantation. Discrepancies may be due to variability in the population compositions. To confirm this hypothesis, the cochlear implanted children outcomes were reviewed in our department
