Partir en Erasmus : et après ? Parcours comparés d’insertion professionnelle

: Since the institutionalisation of student mobility, its extension must first of all be put into perspective. Once its « democratisation » has been observed as being limited to access to the offer of mobility in higher education and its « cost » for individuals, it is then possible to raise questions about the insertion and professional « success » of graduates that have taken advantage of exchange programmes on the various employment markets in Europe. In this article, I intend to put into perspective the results of two research projects : the first on the Erasmus programme ; mixed research (cross-referencing survey methods) on case studies from three universities in three European cities (Ballatore, 2010). The second project is on the professional insertion pathways taken by young « interns » and workers on Fixed Duration Contracts at the European Commission (survey in progress, by means of semi-directive interviews), focusing on the differences in the existing pathways in relation to the higher education establishments frequented by these young graduates
