Modeling of pervaporation is a critical step in the integration of this technology in an industrial scenario. The main limitations are found in the lack of prediction capacity of typical models, which enlarges the gap between the laboratory applications and the industry requirements. The main objective of this book chapter is to show the basis of the main models used to describe the mass transport of binary mixtures in pervaporation, considering dense membranes (solution-diffusion model) or porous membranes (pore-flow model), as well as an introduction to the concentration polymerization phenomena and the variations to consider when multicomponent mixtures are present.
