An efficient, convenient synthesis method has been introduced for the preparation of phenylalanine containing crown ether ring by nucleophilic substitution, nitrosation and reduction reaction using benzo-crown ether and dimethyl malonate as material. The structures of the product are characterized by 1HNMR, MS and element analysis. © 2012 Bentham Science Publishers
