Research on the development strategies of China's new energy cars

Facing the increasingly serious global energy situation and the environmental pressures, most countries in the world are developing the new energy cars. They take the development of the new energy cars as the major strategic initiatives to improve their industrial competitiveness and to maintain the social sustainable development. And China even takes it as one of the seven emerging strategic industries. The development and use of the new energy cars has become the future direction of automobile industry development. This article first gives us the definition of new energy cars, analyzes the development overview of new energy cars in China, then reveals its development problems, and in the end proposes the countermeasures based on the development background and the trend of new energy cars in China. © 2014 WIT Press
