Reconfigurable devices such as Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) are very popular in today's embedded systems design due to their low-cost, high-performance and flexibility. Partially Runtime-Reconfigurable (PRTR) FPGAs allow hardware tasks to be placed and removed dynamically at runtime.
