Anisotropy barrier distributions of single domain particle systems are an important issue in the nanomagnetism and its applications. Different methods to extract the distribution from temperature, field, or time-dependent magnetization/susceptibility are reviewed and compared. A single domain particle system is measured to test the methods. © 2009 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved
