Prominent risks in male adolescent development. Risky and hazardous road behavior in adolescent motorcyclists

Jugendliche motorisierte Zweiradfahrer sind überproportional häufig in Straßenverkehrsunfälle verwickelt. Ein Hauptgrund hier für wird im jugendspezifischen Risikoverhalten gesehen, welches auf der Grundlage eines geschlechtsspezifischen stresstheoretischen Sozialisationsmodells als mögliches Resultat eines unproduktiven Belastungs-Bewältigungs-Prozesses betrachtet wird. Es konnten anhand der Untersuchung mit 137 männlichen motorzweiradfahrenden Jugendlichen psychosoziale Belastungspotentiale neben Risikofreudigkeit und Waghalsigkeit als Einflussgrößen auf Dimensionen des riskanten Verkehrsverhaltens bestätigt werden. Das riskante Verkehrsverhalten wurde im Kontext anderer Risikoverhaltensweisen betrachtet und in Hinsicht auf eine Entwicklungsfunktionalität als belastungskompensierend und geschlechtsidentitätsreproduzierend diskutiert."
